active desktop

I was bored one day and my internet was down, so I thought I'd try out the active desktop feature in windows. The desktop is an html file, with my programs organized on the left and my internet favourites on the right. Without the icons, I am able to fit a lot more onto my desktop. The wallpaper is not mine, though I did alter it slightly. At the bottom centre is a textarea where I can put temporary notes to myself, keep clipboard text, etc. if I need to, without opening notepad. It's not as useful as I thought it could be (if you accidentally refresh the screen, any text in the box disappears), but it's there if I ever want to play with it
