You're absolutely right... it's modelled after actual speakers, and the real ones do have seams, and screw holes, and wires. I've thought about them, and just haven't gotten around to them yet. Also on one of the speakers should be volume & bass control, and a led. Don't know if I'm ever gonna work on this more, but if I do those will all be things to consider. Thanks for the comments guys.
i agree with nalhcal, very realistic looking, nice job on the textures...but i'm not really sure if its physically realistic. it seems to be made of some kind of plastic or composite, which would be injection molded, however, due to the large rounds along all of the edges and no apparent split in the form, the mold to make it would have to be extremely complex, it just doesn't seem to be a object that would actually exist. oh and seeing how it is a speaker one would think that it would need some way to get the audio signal into the casing.
sorry to be so critical, it really is very nice work, i just can't really help looking at things and trying to figure out how they would be made.
